Funny when my boss says, "You know this person and this person and this person have bailed, and we won't have them this year," like he knows what I'm about to tell him.
Funny when I say to baby Jude, "Do you want to be a basketball player? Do you want to be a soccer player? Do you want to be a unicyclist? Do you want to be a rollerblader?" And "rollerblader" is the only thing she smiles at.
Funny when a cup of tea on a saucer and candles are the only sane thing a day could bring.
Funny when so many people are crying at the same time and there's nothing but surprise to hold them.
Delicious when sipping a Hawaiian beer from a brown bottle while the mexicans take down the door and bring in a new fridge, at the same time as Longmont men are cutting down tree tops to protect the residents, at the same time Jude is smiling about rollerblading, at the same time two male dogs are humping.
Funny when you have to teach yourself how to be yourself, and funny when you realize you've been yourself all along - that you are beautiful, and worth anything and everything that you think you are worth and you can be stubborn about this as much as you want girl.
Funny when you can say, "Okay, I have no control." And it's alright.
