VERSE CHAPTER VERSE

The other day my friend took me to a show on capitol hill at Neumos called, VERSE CHAPTER VERSE, featuring Fly Moon Royalty & Sherman Alexie. We took a shot of Jameson & drank like water the Strongbow, then I fell in love with SA all over again (thankful to have found him in the CW program at WWU initially). The interview above is him in political mode - he's a badass - and the mode that held him like a blanket at Neumos, as he read poetry on married life and love, was like smelling your person on the pillow. How he spoke of her, made me feel like tired love can exist & work for some.
Here's Fly Moon Royalty, a treasure. I want her for my own. All of their music at VCV was sexually charged and juicy and booty poppin', and though white guy is awkwardly just sitting beside her here, he's a badass rapper.

After the show, not wanting to head back (though I craved comfort & solitude), we ate cheap mexican, I consumed pleasurably two cayenne pepper margaritas, then 1 cup of espresso, and finally, a roadside cart weiner with jalapenos, cheddar, saurkraut, and mayo on my lips and moccasins.
