The Bins
Much to my sanity, I've been reunited with LW. We go back to C Team basketball, sisters in Postability, photography, art projects, sending the German exchange student down Alabama hill on rollerblades as we videotaped, shaving thrifted fur coats to use as the hair for the camels on our Egypt project. LW took me to the Goodwill Bins in Everett. In the middle of some industrial neighborhood is this giant warehouse; within are 100 ft. long rows of blue bins overflowing with like-items: housewares, clothes, books, bedding, etc which are rotated out every 45 mins. She handed me a pair of gloves & we separated to rifle. She filled a cart full of fabrics for her business & I came away with a couple gifts for people & for myself: Collier's unabridged edition - the works of charles dickens. It's a beautiful handbound, engraved book, which was 99c. The Bins charges by lb, and with over a cart full of crap, LW spent like $30.
